Always Flip The Skirt
The following is some of what you should know before you attempt spot and spill clean up on your Fine Upholstered Furniture
As you can see from the photos the design on this upholstered sofa is created by a loom that uses many distinct colors-weaving each thread to the top (face) of the fabric and when the thread is not needed “pushing” it to the backing. By using the “jacquard weaving” method intricate designs are possible and vibrant coloring as well. You should be aware that when spot cleaning you must check all colors for color-fastness in a hidden area before applying any solution to upholstery.
NOTE: The easiest way to determine the type of weave is to unzip a cushion or “Flip The Skirt” and check for similar patterns like you see in these photos.
