 Carpet: Good for Health

The Canadian Carpet Institute ( http://www.canadiancarpet.org/ ) sites a study conducted by an American manufacturer of carpet cleaning equipment & systems that says properly maintained  carpet in homes and schools is the healthier choice versus hard or resilient flooring. Carpet traps dust, pollen, smoke and other allergens and holds on to these pollutants until proper vacuuming is applied. Foot traffic on hard floors makes these same allergens airborne, pushing them up into the breathing zone-especially in schools.

The graph below shows the degree to which carpet will cling onto pollutants until professional cleaning, including vacuuming can remove them permanently.

Remember to always exercise proper maintenance in your home and OFFICE to insure everyone gets to Breathe Easy!
